‘Whangaihia to tinana ki te kai organic’-‘Nourish your body with organic kai’

One of the many Bull statues in Bulls

Theresa and Haaka Parish have owned and operated Kōtare Organic Café in Bulls, Manawatu since October 2019. The Café is a family run business with Haaka and sons, Jesse, and Jean, running the kitchen, Theresa running the office side and nieces, Ruby and Sharla, on customer service. Kōtare or the Scared Kingfisher is inspiration for the café, easily seen in the colour scheme of the café and the logo. The café sells organic food using fresh, high quality, local ingredients, with their motto ‘Whangaihia to tinana ki te kai organic’ that translates to ‘nourish your body with organic kai’ always in mind. Along with their passion for organic food and their Māori culture is their passion for the environment. By using sustainable business practices and biodegradable packaging, they do their part in protecting the environment for future generations.
